Audit Senior

About the role

Onch & Co., an audit, tax and advisory firm serving national and multinational clients in Mongolia, is looking for an Audit Senior. The role leads and executes external audit engagements from planning through completion, supervises junior team members and communicates with managers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute external audit engagements from planning through completion
• Supervise, coach and review the work of junior audit team members
• Perform audit risk assessments, evaluate internal controls and develop audit procedures
• Review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with IFRS
• Identify significant accounting, audit and internal control issues and recommend practical solutions
• Communicate audit findings, engagement progress and key matters to managers and clients
• Coordinate engagement timelines, team assignments and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), professional ethics and the firm's audit methodology

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of external audit experience
• Experience supervising junior auditors and coordinating audit fieldwork
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical accounting skills
• Effective communication, teamwork and leadership abilities
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Preferred: ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification, and previous experience with an international audit firm
