Field Finance Specialist

About the role

The Field Finance Specialist ensures that all financial activities in the field comply with World Vision policies, local regulations, and donor requirements. This role supports proactive financial management, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of finance processes across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial transactions and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies, laws, and donor rules.
• Prepare and monitor the field budget, track expenses against the approved chart of accounts, and provide cash‑position updates for funding decisions.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and statutory financial reports and submit them on time to finance managers.
• Deliver orientation and refresher training to field staff on financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the field manager for informed decision‑making.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure the field unit maintains an acceptable risk rating.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial compliance, budgeting, and reporting in an international or humanitarian context.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial documents, vouchers, and supporting documentation.
• Ability to train and coach field staff on finance policies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight reporting deadlines.
