Actuary

About the role

The Actuary will join the analytics team of a subsidiary of Mandal Financial Group in Ulaanbaatar. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on analysing insurance and financial data, building actuarial models and providing risk insights to support product development and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Price insurance products and develop actuarial models for various lines of business.
• Project reserves, liabilities and capital requirements, supporting solvency assessments.
• Prepare actuarial reports and documentation for regulatory and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance and risk‑management teams to optimise portfolios.
• Contribute data‑driven analysis for product design, profitability and long‑term sustainability.

Required profile

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
• Progress toward or completion of professional actuarial qualifications (e.g., SOA, IFoA).
• Strong analytical and statistical background with experience in pricing, reserving and risk assessment.
• Ability to communicate complex results to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
