Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will manage day‑to‑day financial operations for Premier Group’s diverse portfolio, which includes retail, beauty, healthcare, and hospitality businesses in Mongolia. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Ulaanbaatar and focuses on accurate transaction recording, ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and maintain the general ledger.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and manage cash flow.
• Perform bank reconciliations and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with Mongolian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with business units to provide financial insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, journal entries, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and cash management.
• Familiarity with Mongolian tax laws and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work on‑site full time in Ulaanbaatar and maintain high ethical standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
