Technical Advisor – LOHA

About the role

Sandvik is looking for a Technical Advisor – LOHA to ensure the efficient maintenance of the client’s equipment fleet at the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine site. You will act as a trusted technical partner, delivering safe and cost‑effective solutions while supporting a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain equipment availability by executing maintenance tasks directed by supervisors and adhering to safety and environmental guidelines.
• Lead the Product Support and OTUG Service teams, supervising staff, setting priorities, and coaching to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Perform systematic fault finding, root‑cause analysis, and first‑line troubleshooting, providing prompt and safe corrective actions.
• Commission new products and support help‑desk technical issues across the territory.
• Collect and relay technical feedback to product managers and the EQ Division.
• Assist the planning department with maintenance strategy optimisation, parts planning, and documentation.
• Report daily work status in the required site format and ensure compliance with safety procedures such as Take 5, SWP, and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising technical teams and driving productivity.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations in mining operations.
• Ability to work closely with customers, understand their needs, and act as a reliable advisor.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering accurate technical solutions.
