Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

The Senior Accountant joins ROX Group Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with local standards and tax regulations. This full‑time, on‑site position supports strategic decision‑making through reliable financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare, review and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring compliance with Mongolian accounting standards and tax laws.
• Monitor budgets, perform variance analysis and track cash‑flow movements.
• Support internal and external audits and implement internal control improvements.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or similar certification is a plus.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Fluency in Mongolian; working proficiency in English is beneficial.
