Chief Accountant

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting operations ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and accounting standards.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, tax filings and statutory reports on time.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes while maintaining record integrity.
• Mentor and develop a finance team of about 10 accounting professionals.
• Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting policies and processes.
• Oversee cash flow, general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, taxation, inventory accounting and fixed assets.
• Coordinate external audits, tax audits and regulatory inspections.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in a senior accounting leadership role such as Chief Accountant.
• Proven track record of leading and developing accounting teams.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong experience with accounting/ERP systems.
