KVAC Operations Supervisor

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Operations Supervisor for its Korean Visa Application Centre (KVAC) in Ulaanbaatar. Working under the KVAC Team Leader, you will ensure smooth daily operations and high‑quality service delivery for visa applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise KVAC staff and daily activities, ensuring efficient, dignified, and cost‑effective service in line with contractual obligations and IOM regulations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of contract conditions, support audit preparations, and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Republic of Korea Embassy, collect feedback, and report issues or commendations.
• Analyse workflow, processing times, and applicant feedback to recommend staffing adjustments.
• Monitor facilities, ICT solutions, financials, and cash management; draft regular reports on applications, fees, incidents, and complaints.
• Support capacity‑building initiatives, ensure compliance with IOM Standards of Conduct, and assist with audits, briefings, and visitor tours.

Required profile

• University degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Law, Migration Studies, Social Studies or related field with four years of relevant experience, OR high school diploma with six years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing a team, delivering customer‑focused services, and working with migrant‑related or visa‑related programmes.
• Experience liaising with governmental, diplomatic, and international institutions; experience living or working in Korea is an advantage.
