Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Part-Time 60%)

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support the KOICA‑funded Gender Equality project in Mongolia by tracking progress against the project monitoring plan, collecting baseline and ongoing data, and producing evidence‑based reports. Working under the National Project Manager, the officer will ensure the M&E framework aligns with UNDP standards and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and lead the implementation of a results‑based Monitoring and Evaluation system, integrating national policies and project indicators.
• Collect, analyse and manage baseline and progress data, conduct bi‑weekly monitoring of partner activities, and prepare analytical updates for coordination meetings.
• Produce regular monitoring reports, visual presentations and documentation of lessons learned for semi‑annual, annual and final project reporting.
• Provide capacity‑building training on results‑based management, theory of change and monitoring for M&E focal points and support independent project evaluations.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and managing results‑based M&E systems in development projects.
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, analysis and reporting, with familiarity of UNDP Monitoring Policy and Handbook.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government counterparts, donor agencies and project partners.
• Commitment to gender equality and the “Leaving No One Behind” principle in all monitoring activities.
