Visa Application Centre Operations Supervisor

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage daily activities at the Korean Visa Application Centre (KVAC) in Ulaanbaatar. Reporting to the KVAC Team Leader, the incumbent will ensure efficient, dignified, and cost‑effective visa services in line with contractual obligations and IOM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee KVAC staff, guaranteeing high‑quality service delivery and compliance with Ministry of Justice contracts.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of contract conditions and support audit preparation for ROK diplomatic representatives.
• Coordinate closely with the ROK Embassy, collecting feedback, handling issues, and fostering positive relations.
• Analyze workflow, processing times, and applicant feedback to recommend staffing adjustments.
• Monitor administrative aspects including facilities, ICT solutions, financial tracking, and cash management.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports on application counts, visa fees, incidents, and complaints.
• Support capacity‑building initiatives by assessing staff needs through feedback and spot‑checks.
• Ensure programme integrity by supervising Visa Support Assistants’ compliance with IOM Standards of Conduct.

Required profile

• University degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Law, Migration Studies or related field with four years of relevant experience, OR high school diploma with six years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in team management and customer service, preferably in migrant‑related programmes or visa services.
• Experience liaising with governmental, diplomatic, and international institutions.
• Working and living experience in Korea is an advantage.
