Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

A Senior ML Engineer is needed to design, develop and deploy machine learning models that solve complex business and technical challenges. The role covers end-to-end ML pipelines, from data exploration and feature engineering through model training, evaluation and production integration. It is a full-time, on-site position based in Ulaanbaatar.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machine learning models
• Work on end-to-end ML pipelines, from data exploration and feature engineering to model training, evaluation and production integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement scalable algorithms
• Optimize model performance and maintain robust codebases
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to architecture decisions
• Stay current with emerging ML techniques and tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field
• Strong foundation in computer science and algorithms, with experience designing efficient, scalable solutions
• Demonstrated expertise in neural networks and pattern recognition for real-world machine learning applications
• Solid understanding of statistics and probabilistic methods for model evaluation, experimentation and data analysis
• Experience building and deploying production-grade ML systems, including model optimization and monitoring
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team, communicate clearly and mentor less experienced colleagues

Required skills

• Proficiency in modern programming languages commonly used in ML, such as Python
• Relevant frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, MLOps practices and version control tools is an advantage
