Quantity Surveyor – Oyu Tolgoi Project

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will join the Oyu Tolgoi project team in Khanbogd, Mongolia, working full‑time on‑site. The role focuses on monitoring and controlling project budget expenditures, ensuring compliance with approved plans, financial procedures and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously track project costs and compare them against the approved budget.
• Verify that all expenditures comply with financial procedures, laws and project standards.
• Prepare regular budget performance reports for management.
• Provide analytical support and data for decision‑making processes.
• Collaborate with project engineers and contractors to resolve cost‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in project cost control, preferably on large‑scale or internationally implemented projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI.
• Upper‑intermediate English language skills.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, punctual and able to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Khanbogd and adapt to field conditions.
