Project Manager for Disaster Risk Reduction Project

About the role

World Vision Mongolia is looking for a qualified Project Manager to lead a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) project funded by the World Vision US Rise Fund. The role involves overseeing all phases of the project, from planning and implementation to monitoring, reporting, and closeout, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and World Vision standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and coordination of the RISE Fund Pillar 1 project.
• Develop and manage annual, quarterly and monthly implementation plans aligned with targets and budgets.
• Oversee procurement, distribution and accountability of preparedness equipment and emergency supplies.
• Activate and manage anticipatory action triggers and rapid response mechanisms within 72–96 hours of a disaster.
• Collaborate with the National Emergency Management Agency, local authorities, humanitarian partners and communities to strengthen disaster preparedness and response capacities.
• Ensure rigorous monitoring, evaluation, safeguarding, GEDSI integration and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Qualified and motivated candidate with experience in disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness and humanitarian project management.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies, NGOs and community stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, reporting and financial management.
