Project Coordinator for Disaster Risk Reduction Project

About the role

World Vision Mongolia is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of the Rapid Interventions through Shared Engagement (RISE) Grant Project. The role focuses on disaster risk reduction, community resilience, and child‑focused emergency preparedness across Mongolia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and supportive supervision to field teams, ensuring quality implementation and compliance with donor requirements.
• Serve as the technical focal point for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Anticipatory Action (AA), and community preparedness interventions.
• Develop and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly operational plans, integrating logical framework targets, KPIs, timelines, risk mitigation measures, and budget allocations.
• Coordinate Community Participatory Disaster Risk Assessments (CPDRA) and support communities in updating disaster preparedness and action plans.
• Facilitate capacity‑building trainings for communities, schools, government counterparts, and local partners on AA, Be Ready modules, CPDRA, school safety frameworks, and junior rescuer clubs.
• Lead the activation and implementation of Anticipatory Action in line with national and international humanitarian standards.
• Oversee technical specifications, procurement planning, logistical arrangements, and delivery of project resources.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in project planning, implementation, and monitoring of disaster risk reduction or humanitarian initiatives.
• Proven ability to coordinate with government agencies, community groups, and international donors.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills to manage field teams and ensure compliance.
