Legal Counsel – Contracts & Commercial

About the role

The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal and commercial advice to protect the Company’s rights and interests across all contracts and commercial transactions. This role ensures effective contract management throughout the entire lifecycle, from negotiation to termination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support contract negotiations, drafting, reviewing, and analyzing agreements to achieve commercially favorable terms while safeguarding legal interests.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks, providing risk‑based recommendations and reports to management.
• Monitor contract implementation, manage variations, amendments, and claims, and support dispute resolution.
• Maintain accurate contract records, milestones, and risk information in line with company document management requirements.
• Coordinate with external counsel and foreign law firms on cross‑border transactions and international contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
• Minimum five years of experience in contract/commercial law, contract management, or a comparable legal role.
• Proven ability to draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial contracts throughout their lifecycle.
• Experience with international contracts, EPC/EPCM agreements, and complex commercial transactions preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial law.
• Ability to interpret and negotiate complex contractual terms, including warranties, indemnities, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
