Head of Human Resources

About the role

Tumen Tumurt LLC, a steel trading and fabrication company founded in 1999 and headquartered in Ulaanbaatar, is looking for a Head of Human Resources. This is a full-time, hybrid position combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The role leads the HR function, designs and implements HR strategies that support business goals, oversees HR operations and guides HR staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update HR policies and oversee HR operations
• Manage workforce planning and recruitment, and facilitate onboarding and performance management
• Support leadership with organizational development initiatives
• Handle employee relations matters and ensure compliance with labor and employment laws
• Coordinate training, development and engagement programs
• Partner with senior management on compensation, benefits and succession planning
• Foster a positive, inclusive and safe workplace culture

Required profile

• Strong foundation in HR and HR management, with experience leading HR functions or teams
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field; advanced degree or HR certifications (e.g. SHRM, CIPD) are an advantage
• Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, talent acquisition, performance management and change management
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or industrial sectors is beneficial; familiarity with ISO-related HR and safety practices is a plus
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate with senior leadership in a hybrid setting

Required skills

• Knowledge of labor and employment law and ability to apply it to HR practice
• Employee relations, including conflict resolution, coaching and building trust
• Proficiency with HR information systems and standard office software
• Ability to analyze HR data for decision-making
