Human Resources Manager

About the role

Nomadic Expeditions, a luxury adventure travel company founded in 1992, and its award-winning eco-lodge Three Camel Lodge in the Gobi Desert are looking for an experienced, proactive and people-oriented Human Resources Manager. The role leads HR operations across the company and the lodge, working closely with company leadership and lodge management to build a motivated, skilled and high-performing team. It involves regular travel to Three Camel Lodge.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practices across the company and lodge
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and retention
• Manage employment contracts, compensation and benefits, HR records and labor law compliance
• Support organizational planning, employee engagement and workplace culture initiatives
• Lead seasonal workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding for the lodge, and work with department heads on staffing and training needs
• Oversee employee welfare, staff accommodation, working conditions, scheduling and workplace well-being
• Develop motivation, recognition, career development and retention programs, and support local employment and professional development for Gobi-based employees
• Coordinate staff training and professional development, and establish performance evaluation and feedback processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field
• Proven experience in HR management, recruitment, employee relations and organizational development
• Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, hotels or resorts strongly preferred
• Good knowledge of Mongolian labor laws and HR compliance; experience with seasonal workforce and multi-location operations is an advantage
• Fluency in Mongolian and strong English
• Willingness to travel regularly to Three Camel Lodge
