Field Officer in Uvs province

About the role

The Field Officer will lead Disaster Risk Reduction, Anticipatory Action and resilience‑building activities in Uvs province, supporting vulnerable children and communities. The role combines project planning, community engagement and emergency response under World Vision Mongolia’s humanitarian mandate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement province‑level operational plans, conduct community participatory disaster risk assessments and update preparedness plans.
• Facilitate training for schools and communities on “Be Ready” modules, school safety frameworks and junior rescuer clubs.
• Coordinate Anticipatory Action interventions, procurement, logistics and distribution of project assets in line with donor and organizational standards.
• Monitor hazard events, collect performance data, conduct post‑distribution monitoring and maintain community‑based accountability mechanisms.
• Strengthen partnerships with local authorities, schools, humanitarian actors and promote community‑led DRR advocacy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change Adaptation, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Project Management or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive project management experience, including humanitarian, DRR, resilience or climate adaptation projects, and experience managing budgets, procurement and donor reporting.
