Community Coordinator, Murun ADP

About the role

World Vision is hiring a Community Coordinator for its Murun Area Development Programme (ADP). This is a local fixed-term position ending in September 2027, with possible extension depending on organizational needs. The role acts as a catalyst and partnership broker and builds the capacity of local partners, coordinating community-led initiatives that improve and sustain the well-being of children and their families. It works alongside communities and partners on planning, implementation and monitoring, and applies the Future Ready Sponsorship (FRS) approach to link sponsorship with measurable child results.

Key responsibilities

• Programme quality: plan, implement and monitor with communities and partners, create annual Area Development Programme plans within the set timeline, follow the Adaptive Program Approach and FRS, and include all RCs in age-appropriate activities.
• Update the Most Vulnerable Children mapping, mainstream child protection, gender-based issues, environmental considerations and conflict resolution, and run programme quality self-reviews.
• Collect monitoring data with community members and partners, analyse impact and sustainability indicators, and lead local advocacy aligned with World Vision Mongolia's priorities.
• Document progress, learning and change stories in monthly, semi-annual and annual reports, and share AIM measurements and child results with stakeholders.
• Sponsorship coordination (25%): align child sponsorship with strategic initiatives, develop child selection criteria, support child monitoring standards, case management and follow-up, cluster RCs by age, manage sponsor-child communications, plan sponsor visits, and provide technical support for sponsorship in programming.
• Maintain sponsorship systems and data, ensure child data and sponsorship documents are stored securely, and work with IT teams to keep systems up to date.
• Engage communities: communicate World Vision's mission and approach, foster community awareness of child well-being, build relationships among local stakeholders, and mobilize community groups.
