Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Part-Time 60%)

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the National Project Manager, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will lead the design, implementation and quality assurance of a results‑based M&E system for the KOICA‑funded gender equality project in Mongolia. The role involves collecting baseline and progress data, analysing results and producing reports in line with UNDP monitoring policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a results‑based Monitoring and Evaluation system aligned with the project document, results framework and UNDP standards.
• Collect, analyse and manage baseline and ongoing data, conduct bi‑weekly monitoring of partner implementation and prepare analytical progress updates for steering committees.
• Produce regular monitoring reports, visual and audio‑visual products, and document lessons learned and success stories for dissemination.
• Provide capacity‑building workshops on results‑based management and support independent project evaluations.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of results‑based management, monitoring and evaluation methodologies and UNDP monitoring policies.
• Ability to design data collection tools, manage datasets and ensure data quality and gender‑responsive analysis.
• Experience in preparing analytical reports, visual presentations and supporting evaluation processes.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with government M&E units, donor focal points and project partners.
