Visa Application Centre Assistant (KVAC)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Visa Application Centre Assistant to support the Korean Embassy's Visa Application Centre (KVAC) in Ulaanbaatar. Working under the KVAC Team Leader and Supervisor, you will help visa applicants submit their applications and retrieve passports after processing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, service‑excellence to visa applicants in line with ROK government standards.
• Verify applicant identity and ensure compliance with ROK procedures.
• Distribute forms, checklists and information in the local language, both in person and via phone/email.
• Collect, sort and check completeness of visa applications and supporting documents.
• Enter accurate data into IOM’s case management system and the ROK visa portal.
• Generate receipts, track passports and documents using QR/barcode scans, and perform quality checks.
• Verify fee payments, issue invoices and reconcile daily collections.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Client Services, Social Science or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, OR high school diploma with four years of relevant experience.
• Experience in migrant‑related programmes or visa services.
• Customer‑service experience; prior living or working experience in Korea is an advantage.
