Supply Planning Coordinator – Level III

About the role

The Supply Planning Coordinator – Level III supports Cummins’ production schedule by determining material quantities and order dates, expediting purchase and production orders, and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Report and comply with health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards, and participate in related training.
• Follow quality procedures, perform data quality checks on material master data, and work with Quality to disposition non‑conforming material.
• Initiate purchase and work orders, participate in allocation calls with suppliers, and collaborate with sourcing and supply‑chain planners to balance supply and demand.
• Work with suppliers to reduce lead times and order quantities, reposition excess inventory, and provide accurate updates on inventory availability and back‑order recovery.
• Manage part change requests, ramp‑up/ramp‑down activities, and reconcile order boards for critical parts and suppliers.
• Document and follow‑up on action items that affect plan execution and take ownership of supplier schedule delivery.
• Communicate effectively within the team and across support functions, and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.
