Service Engineer – 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

The Service Engineer will join the Customer Center at Oyu Tolgoi, focusing on the installation, maintenance and commissioning of advanced safety and automation systems for underground mining vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Install aftermarket hardware and low‑voltage systems according to OEM specifications and site electrical standards.
• Run conduit, make wiring connections, and test equipment to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot low‑voltage systems using diagnostic tools, software and wiring schematics.
• Assist senior engineers during installation and commissioning of collision avoidance and fleet‑management systems.
• Respond to breakdown calls and ensure all serviced equipment is fully tested and signed off before returning to service.

Required profile

• Industrial or vendor certification on relevant safety and automation technologies.
• Strong electrical background with experience in mining or heavy‑industrial service roles.
• Familiarity with automation and fleet‑management products used in mining environments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Low‑voltage electrical installation and wiring.
• Conduit routing and termination.
• Use of diagnostic equipment and interpretation of wiring schematics.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting.
