Security Operations Specialist

About the role

The Security Operations Specialist will join M bank’s on‑site Security Operations Center in Sukhbaatar, monitoring and protecting the digital infrastructure of Mongolia’s first fully digital neobank. This full‑time position focuses on detecting, analysing, and responding to security incidents to ensure safe and reliable banking services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and triage incidents using SIEM and other security tools.
• Investigate, contain, remediate, and document security incidents.
• Analyse network and application logs to identify anomalies and potential threats.
• Fine‑tune security controls, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Collaborate with IT, business units, and external partners to implement mitigations and improve security policies.
• Support ongoing cybersecurity initiatives and vulnerability management programmes.

Required profile

• Experience working in a Security Operations Center environment, including alert triage and escalation.
• Strong analytical abilities for interpreting logs and prioritising risks.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for digital banking.
• Ability to work on‑site, communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and follow structured processes.
