Project Manager (Electrical Engineer Background)

About the role

Murray Mining Services, a heavy industrial steel fabrication and engineering company in Mongolia with more than 100 employees, is looking for a Project Manager with an electrical engineering background. The role provides technical guidance and oversight of electrical and mechanical installation works at the Oyu Tolgoi (OT) site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the project team, assign tasks and follow up on work progress.
• Plan project activities and monitor deadlines.
• Handle technical issues and help develop practical design solutions when needed.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team at the Oyu Tolgoi site.
• Oversee electrical and mechanical installation works so they meet technical requirements and safety standards.
• Work closely with the client and internal teams to keep project activities running smoothly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience in inspection within fabrication, construction or mining environments.
• Understanding of steel fabrication processes, industrial electrical systems and construction or mining industry standards.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to work on-site with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management tools and basic engineering design or drafting software.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations is an advantage.
