Process Engineer CHPP (Maintenance)

About the role

Thiess is looking for an experienced Process Engineer CHPP (Maintenance) to join the Mongolia Project. You will focus on improving reliability, efficiency and performance of the gold handling and preparation plant through optimisation and maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Improve plant reliability, efficiency and performance via process optimisation and maintenance strategy development.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Reliability and Projects teams to maximise availability, product quality and cost performance while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
• Support the Maintenance team in enhancing equipment reliability and availability.
• Monitor and optimise water recovery systems and tailings management processes.
• Analyse production, maintenance and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mineral processing, metallurgical, mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in gold or mineral processing environment.
• Strong understanding of gold preparation and processing systems.
• Experience in process troubleshooting, plant optimisation and reliability engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma certification and project management experience.
