Mongolian Linguist – Remote Contractor

About the role

Are you a talented linguist with a passion for language and cutting‑edge technology? Lilt is looking for native‑level Mongolian speakers to join its remote translation pool, working on a variety of domains such as life sciences, IT, marketing, legal and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content between English and Mongolian while preserving cultural nuance and clarity.
• Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
• Apply current language standards, usage trends and best practices to all deliverables.
• Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language‑model quality.
• Collaborate with production and cross‑functional teams to localise content for Mongolian‑speaking markets.
• Support content development, localisation and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.
• If transcreation is required, creatively adapt the source text so it reads naturally in Mongolian.

Required profile

• Native‑level proficiency in Mongolian.
• A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus at least 2 years of full‑time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full‑time professional translation experience.
• Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.
