Finance Coordinator – Grant and Projects

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Finance Coordinator to manage grant and project finances at its National Office in Ulaanbaatar. The role supports the organization’s mission to improve vulnerable children’s lives by ensuring financial compliance, accurate reporting, and effective budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial transactions for grants and PNS projects, ensuring compliance with World Vision policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
• Review and process payments, monitor expenditures against budgets, and track burn rates.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget revisions, providing financial business partnering to project directors and managers.
• Prepare, review, and submit donor financial reports, produce monthly management reports, and conduct variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with LDR, timesheets, and cost eligibility rules; act as finance focal point for internal and external audits.
• Deliver financial management and compliance training to project staff and maintain document filing systems.
• Develop proposal budgets, cost narratives, and conduct financial modelling and cost analysis for grant acquisition.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (bachelor’s or higher) in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred; experience in finance, commercial institutions, or NGOs is advantageous.
• Intermediate English proficiency and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and strong internal control practices.
