Community Coordinator – Area Development Program

About the role

The Community Coordinator will act as a catalyst and partnership broker to strengthen community‑led initiatives that improve the well‑being of children and families in Dornod. Working closely with local partners, the coordinator will ensure program quality through planning, implementation and monitoring, while integrating the Future Ready Sponsorship approach.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor community programmes to achieve measurable child outcomes, using impact data for decision‑making.
• Develop and update the Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) mapping and track progress against MVC targets.
• Coordinate child sponsorship activities, including child selection, monitoring, sponsor‑child communication and sponsor visits, ensuring alignment with World Vision’s Adaptive Program Approach.
• Lead local advocacy initiatives that embed child protection, sanitation, climate resilience and gender‑based considerations into programming.
• Collect and analyse monitoring data with community volunteers and partners, and produce regular reports for management and donors.
• Maintain and verify the functionality of sponsorship information systems in collaboration with IT teams.
• Facilitate capacity‑building for community groups and partners, fostering inclusive participation of children, youth and vulnerable families.
