About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to support, implement, and continuously improve the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems across the organization. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local regulatory requirements and Epiroc standards, while providing timely, competent, and practical SHEQ advice to operational teams.
Key responsibilities
- Assist and implement SHEQ management systems and provide expertise to operations.
- Perform field inspections, task observations, and facilitate hazard and risk assessments.
- Identify critical safety and health risks, evaluate impact, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Report hazards, accidents, incidents, near‑misses, and non‑conformances promptly.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Coordinate and participate in HSE meetings, inspections, audits, and observations.
- Attend daily pre‑start meetings and contribute to safety learning sharing.
- Report weekly and monthly HSE KPIs and monitor progress.
- Develop and renew OSH policies, rules, and procedures; introduce and monitor OSH management system.
- Determine training needs, develop programs, arrange training, and analyse results.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in OSH or related field; trade‑qualified Mechanical or Engineering background.
- Knowledge of Mongolian HSE legal requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in safety.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Sound report‑writing abilities.
- Proficiency in English (writing and speaking).
