Circular Economy & Waste Management Analyst (Part‑time)

About the role

The Circular Economy and Waste Management Analyst will provide technical leadership for environmentally sound waste management and circular‑economy initiatives in the pilot cities of Darkhan and Erdenet. Working part‑time (50%) under the National Project Manager, the analyst will coordinate with the Project Implementation Unit, consultants, and multiple government ministries.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and facilitate a multi‑stakeholder circular‑economy working group, conduct materials‑flow analysis and develop an Extended Producer Responsibility roadmap.
• Support the design and implementation of small‑scale composting facilities and material‑recovery centres through public‑private partnerships, including site selection and gender‑responsive planning.
• Design and roll out behaviour‑change campaigns reaching 10,000 households, ensuring gender‑responsive interventions and monitoring outcomes.
• Conduct technical studies on green technologies for hazardous medical waste and guide investment decisions for recycling infrastructure.
