About the role
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Public Engagement (MEAL) Specialist will lead the evidence‑based tracking, learning and communication functions of the Mongolia Child Protection Compact project. Working under the Project Director, the specialist ensures that project activities are measured, reported and shared in line with donor and World Vision standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and refine the project’s MEAL framework, including results framework, indicators and reporting tools.
- Provide technical oversight for data collection, verification, analysis and validation with government partners, implementing agencies and sub‑grantees.
- Prepare quarterly, annual and final donor reports, ensuring accuracy and evidence‑based narratives.
- Facilitate reflection sessions, learning reviews and documentation of lessons learned and best practices.
- Support end‑line assessments, follow‑up studies and validation workshops during the cost‑extension period.
- Manage donor‑required monitoring platforms (e.g., IMPAQ) and train staff and partners on their use.
- Coordinate public‑engagement activities, evidence dissemination and donor visibility efforts.
Required profile
- Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning for development projects.
- Strong understanding of child protection and trauma‑informed approaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government, civil‑society and private‑sector stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with attention to data quality.
Required skills
- Technical expertise in designing and managing MEAL systems.
- Experience with donor monitoring platforms and data validation tools.
- Capacity to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
